Anticipating his move and firing

When playing multiplier, either because of normal game play or because of the internet connection, just because your crosshairs on are the target does not necessarily mean that you will hit him, especially if he is moving. You will have to shoot ahead of there position. This is very crucial when sniping moving objects.

keeping an eye of who is on top is important. Hit F1 to see the scores during the game. The player at the top should try to be avoided, that is until you are ready.

You are vulnerable, but so is the enemy

Using your Spidey Senses is key. You are vulnerable to grenades and sniper fire to the head when you are on the turret of a vehicle without a driver. Remember, sniper head shots are instant kills. When the enemy drives by in a vehicle, aim for the most unprotected part. The flame thrower and shotgun is god for close combat. Watch the cliffs for enemies. Watch the portals, enemies can appear without warning.

AMMO

Keep an eye on your ammo in both your weapons. There is nothing worse than being caught with no ammo, or having to reload everything while your opponent takes shots at you. And keep in mind, it is not always best to throw a grenade when out of ammo.

Keep moving!

Obviously, a moving target is harder to hit. Apply this all the time: both when you are in close combat and when you are in no combat. Snipers love picking off guys who walk and stop, walk and stop, walk and stop…

Manually firing the pistol

Ever wonder how some players are able to kill you before you even know what is happening? No, they probably do not have “aimbot” (aimbot is a computer program that helps the player aim on target). They are able to do that because they are not holding down the trigger button, but instead manually clicking it to fire. This allows for almost machine gun like fire from the pistol. Holding down the trigger makes the gun fire slowly.
